Profile

Adpost is a unique organisation, founded in 1988 by Jason Ince. Jason was a young businessman, looking for a way to market his carpet cleaning business when he discovered the missing piece in the market at the time. Through his experience, he discovered there weren’t trustworthy printing and distribution partners to get leaflets into the hands of consumers.

“It’s funny that I learned how to first print back in elementary school when I was a naughty kid that was sent to the front office,” Ince emphasised. “Once I experienced being let down by printers and their distribution process (or lack thereof), I hired my own walkers and started putting leaflets out for local businesses. Because I was distributing for my own carpet business, I would have other owners approach me and ask who I was using and how I was getting this done.”

Combing that knowledge with his overall business experience led Ince to establish Adpost and continuously grew from there. The Adpost group, a combination of several brands, now offers an expanded portfolio of products from design and print, to leaflet distribution and fulfilment, to promotional products and uniforms, to car and fridge magnets. Some of his businesses cater direct to consumer and others use a reseller channel to provide impeccable sales and service to meets the client’s needs with precision and confidence.

The Challenge

Adpost utilized a system for nearly 25 years before Ince decided to develop his own solution. He knew they needed a full-on MIS system but didn’t realize the magnitude of development and time it would take. “I quickly realized that it was taking way too much money and that I had become a developer and not a printer,” stated Ince.

Because of this and knowing this was a serious investment for their company, Ince looked at 2 solutions in great detail, then decided on printIQ as the backbone of their organization. “I knew with technology changing and e-Commerce coming into play, we needed a solution that was going to scale with us. I also knew that the technology change the industry was facing would create the need for us to acquire more organizations to continue to let my company grow and drive national clients. By doing this, I was able to focus on putting print on paper and remove myself from development efforts,” added Ince.

The Solution

Ince shared that printIQ advanced everything for the company, and his grand idea of scaling through acquisition. “We found that printIQ is never standing still like we see with the competitors. The timing was perfect, and the continuous development has kept the solution relevant, making the best experience for the printer,” shared Ince. “I feel like we have so much more automation to implement in the back half of this year to fully use the system to its potential.”

Ince shared that integrations with the system really helped streamline his business, taking manual touch points and time out of the equation. “Automation in freight was a critical piece for us. The fact that my team doesn’t have to think about the price for freight, no time is lost on our end and the system just does it. It changes the way we work and the time it takes to get the product out the door.”

The Business Impact

The Adpost Group has plans to streamline their promotional products purchasing process with printIQ. Ince stated, “When we first went into promotional products, we had no clue how complex it would be. I thought you’d just order a t-shirt with print on it. Customers typically don’t know what type of shirt they went, what color, what sizes, and so much more. With the latest version of printIQ, it should allow us to gain control of this part of our business and truly simplify the purchasing process for our customers.”

Ince found that he has been hands-off for years and needed consistent support for his platform. “I was able to utilize the printIQ Professional Services Team to update and bring our platform into the most efficient space. We will continuous this effort with the latest developments to ensure we are automated from front to back.”

The power of printIQ

“We found that printIQ is never standing still like we see with the competitors. The timing was perfect, and the continuous development has kept the solution relevant,”
